As you know, the easiest way to submit an IT Help Request is to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org – especially when email apps like Outlook suggest recent email addresses when you start to type “help” in the To field.
Our new Help Requests system uses custom email addresses for notification messages that keep everything together when you reply to add details or re-open a Ticket, but that can also cause some confusion when relying on those cached address suggestions.
Please be sure to select the Help - Information Technology Requests (email@example.com) option for new Help Request emails, like the top one in the above screenshot, to ensure proper delivery. You can also search for “Help” in Outlook’s Global Address List if you haven’t sent a new request lately.
