Unlocking the Power of Dictate in MS Word
Dictation empowers you to effortlessly transform speech into text within Microsoft 365. It’s a convenient method for expressing your ideas, crafting drafts or outlines, and capturing notes.
For Windows:
- Open a new or existing document and go to Home > Dictate while signed into Microsoft 365 on a microphone-enable device.
- Activate Dictate by clicking the Dictate button.
For macOS:
- Open a new or existing document and go to Home > Dictate while signed into Microsoft 365 on a mic-enabled device.
- Wait for the Dictate button to activate and start listening.
Start speaking, and watch your spoken words seamlessly transform into text on the screen. In addition to dictating content, you can use spoken commands to add punctuation, navigate around the page, format text, and insert special characters.
