Managing Saved Passwords Across Devices/Broswers
Storing passwords in browsers and smartphones offers convenience, but it can lead to forgetting login information when switching devices or browsers. Here’s how to check your saved passwords on different devices and browsers:
Google Chrome (Desktop):
- Access Google Password Manger via the Profile or Customize and Control > Passwords and autofill menu.
- To view a password, click on the arrow next to it and select Show password.
Microsoft Edge (Desktop):
- Access Passwords via the Profile or Settings and More > Profiles > Wallet menu.
- Select a website and click Show password . Enter your user account password if prompted.
Safari/Apple (macOS):
- Go to Apple menu> System Settings > Passwords.
- Authenticate with Touch ID or your user account password.
- Select a website and click Show Details .
Safari (iPhone & iPad):
- Navigate to Settings > Passwords.
- Authenticate with your passcode or Touch ID.
- Select the website or app account, then tap Password.
Android (Chrome):
- Open Chrome. Tap on More > Settings > Password Manger.
- Manage your passwords by showing, deleting, editing, or exporting them.
