Panopto Capture

To use Panopto from your computer, choose one of the options below:

Using Panopto Capture (Recommended)

Panopto Capture allows you to record directly from your browser, eliminating the need for a desktop application.

1. Sign into the Panopto Server. From Eagle, navigate to Courses > Panopto and select Browse to choose the course folder for your recording.
2. Launch Panopto Capture. Click the [+] Create button and select Panopto Capture. Refer to this Panopto Capture Guide for step-by-step instructions on creating a video.

Installing Panopto Recorder

1. Sign into the Panopto Server. From Eagle, navigate to Courses > Panopto. This process mirrors signing into the desktop application but connects you directly to the server.
2. Download the Installer. Once signed in, click the [+] Create button on the side panel and select Panopto for Windows or Panopto for Mac to download the appropriate installer. Windows users can check their system specifications by going to Start menu > System > About.

Launching Panopto Recorder

• From the Desktop Shortcut. Open the Panopto Recorder app via the desktop shortcut. You will need to sign in the first time you use it. Ensure the correct course folder is selected before recording.
• Sign into the Panopto Server (Recommended). Follow the steps above to sign in directly to the server. Once signed in, click Browse in the side navigation to select the appropriate course folder. Then click [+] Create > Panopto for Windows (or Mac) > Launch Panopto.
