Where to Find Downloads on Your Phone

The location of your downloaded files depends on the file type and the app used to download it. Most files are stored in the Files or My Files app, but some apps save downloads within their own storage, accessible only through the app itself.

On iPhone or iPad

1. Open the Files app. If you don’t see it, swipe down from the center of your Home Screen and search for it.
2. Tap the Browse tab at the bottom of the screen.
3. Select the Downloads folder to view your downloaded files.
4. If you downloaded a file from Safari, tap the Page Settings button next to the search bar in Safari, then tap Downloads.

On Android Phones

Android file management varies slightly by manufacturer, but the process is generally similar.

1. Open the Files or My Files app from the home screen or app drawer.
2. Tap Downloads.
3. View your downloaded files.
4. For a simpler search experience, consider using Files by Google, available from the Play Store.
