Widgets in Windows
Widgets in Windows provide live updates and quick access to apps, tools, and personalized content—all in one view. Stay informed and organized at a glance.
Access the Widgets Board
Open the widgets board by:
- Selecting the Widgets icon (live weather) on your taskbar
- Pressing Windows logo key + W
- Swiping in from left edge (on touchscreen devices)
Personalize Your Feed
Your feed adapts to your interests as you interact with it.
- Select your account button to follow or unfollow topics and sources.
- Use the More like this (
) or Fewer Like This () buttons to fine-tune recommendations.
Tip: Sign in with the same Microsoft account across devices to sync your feed.
Customize the Widgets Board
Visit the Widgets page in the Microsoft Store to add new widgets.
Use the More Options (…) button to:
- Pin, unpin, resize, or hide widgets
- Customize settings (e.g., weather location or stocks)
- Move widgets by dragging them within the pinned section
Hiding a widget signs you out of its linked app. To restore it, pin it again from the Widgets gallery.
Remove Widgets
If you don’t want Widgets shown on the Windows Taskbar, right-click a blank section of the Taskbar and select Taskbar Settings (or navigate to Start > Settings > Personalization > Taskbar) and then turn off Widgets to toggle.
