If you are connected to Wi-Fi on campus, you must use the NU_Employees network.

OPEN THE DEVICES AND PRINTERS WINDOW

  • Navigate to Start > Settings > Devices
  • Click the Devices and Printers link on the right side of the window.
  • Right-click any printer icon that you no longer need and select Remove Device.

ADD PRINT QUEUES

  • Click the Add a Printer button near the top of the window.
  • Select the copier or printer you want, and click the Next and Finish buttons.
  • Right-click the icon for the printer you primarily use and select Set as Default.

Configuration for NU Copiers and MFPs

  • Right-click the icon for the copier or MFP and select Printing Preferences.
  • Select NU Default from the Favorite Setting drop-down and click the Apply button.
  • Go to the Basic tab and click the Authentication/Account Track... button.
  • Leave the Department Name box empty and enter your copy code into the Password box.
  • Copy codes can be found on the My Profile page – https://eagle.northwestu.edu/my-profile/
Be sure to use your departmental code, rather than your personal (99xxx) code!
  • Click the OK buttons to save your changes and close the windows.

USE SECURE PRINT BY DEFAULT (OPTIONAL)

  • Right-click the icon for the copier or MFP you want to set up and select Printing Preferences.
  • Go to the Basic tab and select Secure Print from the Output Method drop-down.
  • When prompted for a Secure Print ID and Password, enter what you’d like to use.
We recommend a 2- or 3-digit Secure Print ID and no Password.
  • Click the OK buttons to save your changes and close the windows.

At the Copier

  • After printing, enter your copy code and tap the Secure Print button.
  • Enter the same Secure Print ID and Password combination you set up on your computer.
  • Select the document(s) you’d like to print, and then tap the Print button.
