How to manage printers and copiers on my computer?

If you are connected to Wi-Fi on campus, you must use the NU_Employees network.
OPEN THE DEVICES AND PRINTERS WINDOW
- Navigate to Start > Settings > Devices
- Click the Devices and Printers link on the right side of the window.
- Right-click any printer icon that you no longer need and select Remove Device.
ADD PRINT QUEUES
- Click the Add a Printer button near the top of the window.
- Select the copier or printer you want, and click the Next and Finish buttons.
- Right-click the icon for the printer you primarily use and select Set as Default.
Configuration for NU Copiers and MFPs
- Right-click the icon for the copier or MFP and select Printing Preferences.
- Select NU Default from the Favorite Setting drop-down and click the Apply button.
- Go to the Basic tab and click the Authentication/Account Track... button.
- Leave the Department Name box empty and enter your copy code into the Password box.
- Copy codes can be found on the My Profile page – https://eagle.northwestu.edu/my-profile/
Be sure to use your departmental code, rather than your personal (99xxx) code! - Click the OK buttons to save your changes and close the windows.
USE SECURE PRINT BY DEFAULT (OPTIONAL)
- Right-click the icon for the copier or MFP you want to set up and select Printing Preferences.
- Go to the Basic tab and select Secure Print from the Output Method drop-down.
- When prompted for a Secure Print ID and Password, enter what you’d like to use.
We recommend a 2- or 3-digit Secure Print ID and no Password. - Click the OK buttons to save your changes and close the windows.
At the Copier
- After printing, enter your copy code and tap the Secure Print button.
- Enter the same Secure Print ID and Password combination you set up on your computer.
- Select the document(s) you’d like to print, and then tap the Print button.
