Computer Care and Security

Before you leave for holiday break please consider the following best practices for NU issued office computers and laptops.  

Your Office Computer:  
We recommend that you close all windows and apps (save any unsaved work) and then Restart your office computer (do NOT shut down).  Restarting your computer will ensure that windows feature and security updates will be run while you are away.  

NU Issued Laptops: 
When transporting your laptop from work to home please be sure to keep your laptop in a safe and secure location in your car, hidden from outside view. We would prefer you didn’t leave your laptop in the car when running errands, but if this cannot be avoided please make sure your car is locked and secure from potential break-in, and that you are parked in a safe location.
