Wireless Casting

We are happy to announce that we have finished our scheduled wireless casting upgrades for this Summer. If you missed our previous correspondence, please see below for more details.

Wireless casting now supports Apple, Android, Windows, and Chrome operating systems, which means connecting your device is easier than ever. Anyone can “share their screen” or “display content” from their device to the main projector or TV screen in the classroom or conference room wirelessly – no more wires, yeah!!  (HDMI connections are still available on classroom technology stations if that’s your preference, though.)

Guides and Resources:

  • Our guide for wireless casting in classrooms is available here.
  • Training and other resources are available from the IT Office. Reach out via help@northwestu.edu to schedule time with our team.
  • Tutorial videos in this YouTube playlist will walk you through the process on a variety of devices.

There are a few locations – Argue HSC science labs - that need some additional technology prerequisites, so wireless casting will be available later in the academic year.
