New Teams Meeting Features

Spatial Audio

This new audio experience spatializes the voices of attendees across the visual meeting stage in the Gallery view, helps make conversations more natural, and makes the conversation easier to follow when multiple people are speaking together. You can find this setting under More (…) → Settings → Device settings → Spatial audio.

Noise Suppression

Teams also offers three levels of noise suppression for the desktop app to help keep meeting participants focused.

• High Suppresses all background sound that isn’t your voice and is best for noisy office environments with a lot of background speech.
• Low Suppresses low levels of persistent background noise, such as a computer fan or air conditioner. Use this setting to play your choice of music for other meeting participants to hear, like when waiting for a meeting to start.
• Off Noise suppression is disabled. Use this setting for high-fidelity microphones in low noise environment like a quiet studio.

Customize Captions

You have the ability to customize the size and color of the font as well as the height and position of the caption window with the option of scroll to review captions of what has said, up to one minute ago. To open the caption settings pane, navigate to More (…) → Accessibility, then turn on “Captions”.
