Customize Outlook Navigation Pane

The Outlook Navigation Pane, located on the left edge of the Outlook window, is a vertical bar providing quick access to various Outlook modules like Mail, Calendar, and People, along with links to other Microsoft apps like OneDrive. Personalizing this bar can streamline your access to frequently used modules and applications.

Adjusting Navigation Bar Buttons:

  • To pin/unpin items: Right-click on the desired item.
  • To rearrange items: Right-click or click and hold, then drag to reposition.
  • Adding another app: Select More apps to view additional options. Right-click to pin or choose Add apps to explore other available apps.

   

Change the Navigation Bar Position (Left to Bottom)

For Office 365:

  1. Navigate to File > Options.
  2. Choose Advanced, and within Outlook panes, uncheck “Show Apps in Outlook”.
  3. Close and then restart Outlook.

For New Outlook:

  1. Click on More apps on the bar.
  2. Select the desired app to include it in the Navigation Bar.
