Windows 11: Biggest Changes and New Features

While the interface may look different, Windows 11 share many similarities with Windows 10, making it easy to adjust. The newer version offers enhanced productivity features and the ability to run Android apps on your computer.

Taskbar

The taskbar icons are now centered and smaller, so you no longer need to move your mouse cursor across the entire screen to access apps from the Start menu. You can use Taskbar settings to customize it, making it look and behave similarly to how it did in Windows 10.

Widgets Board

Access the widgets board from the left corner of your taskbar, where the live weather icon is displayed. The board features dynamic content like weather updates, news, calendar appointments, and sports scores. You have full control over which widgets are displayed and where they appear on the board.

Snap Layouts (Snap Assist)

The Snap Layouts feature allows you to organize and group open windows or files, making it easy to switch between tasks and stay organized.

System Settings

The redesigned Settings app includes a persistent left-side menu, allowing you to quickly navigate to different settings without needing to backtrack through nested options. Most of the features from Windows 10's Settings are still available here.

Multiple Desktops

You can now customize each virtual desktop with different backgrounds or colors, allowing you separate work and personal spaces easily.

Docking

When docking your laptop to a monitor, Windows 11 remembers the last app layout you were using, allowing you to pick up right where you left off.

Photos App

The updated Photos app includes video editing capabilities with features like titles, transitions, and effects. It also supports face recognition, auto-generated albums, and integrated maps for photos with location data.
